One week left and not sure Im ready to go

Today, on the day of the immaculate conception here in Chile, marks a week until Im back in Minneapolis. What a strange feeling! Of course the biggest part of me is aching to see Walt again and just so excited to see him. The adventurous part of me is wondering, is this really what three months feels like?
We have made it as far south as the lake country north of Patagonia and it is remarkably beautiful and unlike anything else weve seen in south america or chile for that matter. it is more reminicent of Belguim or Germany from my experience and on top of the scenery there are tons of German settlers here making the architecture and food more typical of there than Chilean. We just spent some time in a town called Puerto Varas just north of Puerto Montt on a crystal clear lake flanked by snow peaked volcanos. We took a bus two days in a row to this town called Ensenada and walked into a national park where there were little lagoons that you could see clear down to the bottom- twenty feet below. One spot we found was so isolated and deserted that we spent a whole day skinny dipping there! As you can tell we were able to let our guards down and really relax.
Now we are on an island called Chiloe off the coast in the Pacific. We are here mainly to see the Humbolt Penguin colonies and other unique wildlife there is in the area (blue whale pods, pygmy deer...) but the culture of the island is also really unique with tons of facinating folklore and a real culture of fisherfolk that is very similar in its own way to Marthas Vineyard. We had the most amazing salmon for dinner while watching the football match of Marseille against Real Madrid.
I am so excited to see my family and get started with a real serious life with Walt. hopefully that life will have lots of adventures for the both of us too?
